FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM:
Mechanics and acoustics of geo-, hydro- and atmo- spheres;
Dynamic processes in the Ocean of global, Pacific and local scales;
Waves, vortices, coherent structures, turbu-lence: transport through the interfaces;
Impact of physical, chemical and biological effects on formation of spatial structures in fluids;
Analytical, numerical and laboratory modelling of environmental systems and processes;
Conventional and novel instruments;
Environmental and technological applications.
Papers on other related topics are equally welcome. More than
one abstract may be submitted.
Preconference Working seminar on “Marine measurements in Geophysics and Hydrophysics”
will be held at POI FEB RAS Marine Experimental Station “Cape Schultz” on September 22-26, 2011.
Program of the seminar will include visits to the instrumental rooms and be compiled later. Number of participants is limited.
THE CONFERENCE IS ORGANISED BY:
V.I.Il`ichev Pacific Oceanological Institute FEB RAS
The Institute for Problems in Mechanics of the Russian Academy of Sciences
Russian State Hydrometeorological University
CONFERENCE SPONSORS:
The Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS)
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation
Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR)
This conference continues the traditions of all-union (till 1990) and international sessions
of the Working Group “Laboratory Modeling of Dynamic Processes in the Ocean”.
The scientific program of the conference "Fluxes and structures in fluids" includes the most
relevant and well-developed research topics. The conference is the fifteenth in the series and we have
fortunate opportunity to invite you to join the scientific program of conference in June 2009.
The conference program includes invited lectures, oral and poster presentations.
This Conference follows the highly successful Meetings held in Svetlogorsk
(1987), Kanev (Ukraine 1988), Novosibirsk (1989), Jurmala (Latvia 1990), Vladivostok (1991),
Saint-Petersburg (1992), Moscow (1993), Saint-Petersburg (1995), Svetlogorsk (1996),
